Founder & Team Leader
David is the driving force behind Mountainwood Construction, bringing over 20 years of hands-on experience and a deep-rooted passion for quality craftsmanship. Born and raised in Pendleton, Oregon, Dave grew up learning the ropes at his father’s construction company—where building homes and building character went hand in hand. After moving to the valley in 2007, he founded Mountainwood Construction with a clear vision: to create beautiful, lasting spaces while delivering a personalized and trustworthy building experience. Dave is known for his high standards, thoughtful leadership, and commitment to doing things the right way, every time.
When he’s not on the job site or meeting with clients, you’ll find Dave staying current on the latest home trends, working on his golf swing, or hitting the trails on his dirt bike.

Project Superintendent
Project Superintendent
Zack grew up in Southern Idaho, learning the building trades from his father—a skilled farmer, carpenter, and homebuilder. His early days were spent welding, working with wood, and gaining hands-on experience that would eventually launch a unique career path. After first joining Mountainwood over a decade ago, Zack left the valley to earn a degree in Aerospace Engineering from Arizona State University. He spent the next five years working as a test and research engineer in the space industry, contributing to missions that successfully reached Earth’s orbit. Now back in Idaho, Zack brings that same technical precision and problem-solving mindset to his role as Project Superintendent—overseeing builds, troubleshooting challenges, and making sure every detail aligns just right.
Off the clock, Zack is always building something—whether it’s restoring an old church into his home, exploring Idaho’s backcountry, or cultivating gourmet mushrooms in his spare time. He’s a natural outdoorsman with an eye for design, and a curiosity that keeps him learning every step of the way.

Bookkeeper
Our resident bean counter, number cruncher, and all-around organizer, Kelly is great at making sure every penny is accounted for. Originally from Oklahoma, she made her way to Sun Valley with her family in 2014—and never looked back.
Before finding her niche in the construction world, Kelly spent nearly a decade managing finances in the nonprofit sector, dabbling in real estate, and possibly spent some time in witness protection (but we’re not asking questions). With her sharp eye for detail and get-it-done attitude, she brings a wealth of experience, and just the right amount of sass to the team.
Outside the office, Kelly is always on the move—exploring Idaho’s backcountry by foot or motorcycle (purely for the sightseeing), diving into a good book, getting her hands dirty in the garden, or heading off on her next travel adventure. She also enjoys scuba diving, tennis, and soaking up the wild beauty of the place she now calls home.

Painter
If the radio’s playing and the paint is flowing, chances are Raymundo’s hard at work. As Mountainwood’s expert painter, he brings nearly a decade of dedication, skill, and positive energy to every job. Whether he's staining wood to bring out its natural beauty or carefully painting interiors and exteriors, Raymundo approaches each project with precision and pride.
He’s been part of the team for almost 10 years and is known not just for his craftsmanship, but for his contagious smile and upbeat spirit. Rain or shine, Raymundo shows up ready to work—and makes the job site a better place while he’s at it.
